Hello! My name is Maximilian. I'm a 20-something research assistant, owning the best owl mug in the world. If you're here, you probably found this site via space.eulenbu.de, which is my corner of the internet where I dump all my tech-related ramblings.
My research revolves around implementing secure record linkage in the medical domain. I also offer my perspective on cybersecurity and data privacy matters for projects that work on medical data. When I'm not doing either of these things, I handle infrastructural needs in our research group and act as tech support before escalating issues to the IT wizards. I have therefore claimed the title of the "rubber ducky" at work — the first person to go to when discussing technical problems, wants and needs.
I spend a lot of my spare time staying up-to-date on tech-related matters. Anything concerning Linux (I use Arch btw), cybersecurity, system administration, web development and programming languages has a 99% chance of being super interesting to me. But computers aren't all I care about. My other interests include playing rhythm games as well as commentating them, listening to heaps of music of the metallic kind and, as you may have guessed, obsessing over owls.
If you wanna get talking, feel free to contact me using the link above. Or, if you're bored, spend some time with the pixelated @nyraxart.
below. I heard it likes pats! Credit for the lovely pixelated sprites goes to my overseas partner. You can check her art out on Instagram
